If the gate that leads towards the other parts of the room is locked the first time you see it you could open it by stepping on the platform the loot room that s across the area is opened run as fast as you can to the other side that slowly. This will open one of the doors i forget which where there s another crystal that opens the last door. Jump up there turn around and there should be a reactive crystal hidden above the doorway. You will need to defend the machine from some infested enemies.
